Mechanical bird automaton, ca 1910. This is an early one with the plaster base, not one of the later ones with plastic gearing that are almost impossible to repair.

This birdie has had his feathers ruffled a bit, as happens over 100 years. However, he is still happily singing away strong.

The crank we received with this is old and functional, but drops down a bit too deep, beyond the bottom of the cage.

Dimensions are approximately 10 inches by 10 inches by 17 inches tall.
