This version of Edison's famous Home Phonographs dates between 1904-1909.The mechanism has been mechanically restored -- completely taken apart, cleaned, inspected, lubricated, adjusted and put back together. The governor shaft has been cleaned and polished for smooth running. The mainspring was pulled, cleaned and repacked with grease, a big job but important to keep the spring from sticking to itself as it unwinds.
The gorgeous blue morning glory horn with hand-painted flowers is approximately 31 inches long with a 22 inch bell. The paint is in excellent condition, as nice as you will likely ever find. Horns like this are quite scarce, because most horns of this type were aftermarket additions rather than Edison factory equipment. The craning that supports the horn is a mixture of older reproduction and original parts.
The golden oak case is clean original finish, original decal.
This machine comes with a very strong original Model C reproducer, and is playing just as loud and smooth as possible.
Price includes 5 Edison cylinders in very nice condition.
