Edison B375 Louis XV Diamond Disc Phonograph for sale

The Edison Louis XV Diamond Disc phonograph is certainly one of the rarest and arguably the most beautiful of all Diamond Disc models.

Production of all Louis XV variants might not have exceeded 200 examples. This B375, introduced in 1915, is marked serial number 99.

This machine has been partially disassembled for ease in transportation, hence the motor may seem to askew in the image. It has a working motor and a good reproducer.

There is no front grill, which would need to be reconstructed. There is a chip off the molding above the grill, which could be cut in as part of a reconstruction. Otherwise, the machine is complete and functional.

The cabinet has typical age-darkened original finish. As usual, there is some flowerpotting on the lid.

Priced to sell commensurate with condition and as a great restorable phonograph. I know of at least one example that recently sold for $7000.
