Here's a working Madame Hendren phonograph doll at a reasonable price. She was probably promoted as a Dolly Rekord, although the same Averill mechanism is found in other phonograph dolls.
Wind her up and she recites a nursery rhyme from the blue cylinder record.
She has typical cracking, crazing and weathering of the paint usually found on a composition doll, but is in better condition than many and the phonograph mechanism is working. There is a little crazing on the head that isn't particularly noticeable in the images, and a split in the composition running down one leg (see image).Wig appears to be original.
Includes one record. Listen to the mp3 file to hear this child speak.
