Amberola 30 - No Veneer Peel for sale

$475

Very nice original Edison Amberola 30 in a case with no veneer peel. This machine isn't rare, but it's a great way to play your 4 minute Blue Amberol cylinders. The design of the case and mechanism make it easy to use, and the pleasing proportions and size of the golden oak case strongly appeal to modern tastes. Properly restored, the machine is easy to get parts for and very reliable.

I have worked on the mechanics of this machine to try to get it to play as smoothly as possible. For one thing, I didn't like the feel of the mainspring so I pulled and greased the spring. This is important for the spring to let down without any shudder, and it is not something you will find a seller on a venue such as ebay is capable of doing.

The reproducer and stylus are playing loud and clear, as you can judge from the youtube video embedded here.

Includes 6 original cylinders to get you started.
