This adorable cutie is a custom cabinet to convert your tabletop Amberola 30 into an upright machine. I've never seen any documentation as to who manufactured these, but it would have to date to after the introduction of the Amberola 30 in 1914.
The rear panel of the oak cabinet comes off, and a complete Amberola 30 slides into place. The lid of the Amberola forms the lid of the cabinet.
There are four drawers which slide out to hold the records.
These are scarce. This is the first one we've been able to offer for sale in over 25 years.
An exceptionally nice, original Edison Amberola 30 comes with this cabinet. It is playing very well, and the reproducer is exceptionally loud and plays with excellent fidelity, as you can hear by clicking on the mp3 link or by listening to the youtube video below. The Amberola 30, if you were to remove it, is quite nice on its own, very good original finish and no veneer peel.
Includes a bonus 10 Edison Blue Amberol cylinders.
