Victor IV
$1850

The Victor IV was only one of two outside horn Victor machines in mahogany, the other being the Victor VI, and in terms of production numbers is one of the scarcest of the Roman numeral series, second only to the top-of-the-line Victor VI. This has always been a very desirable machine. This example is a totally original machine, down to the crank and elbow. It has good original finish, typically age darkened with minimal crackling. The gold decals of the bracket are still visible, with some typical murkiness from the original shellac overspray. There is a nice oversize horn, approximately 2 feet long with a 23 1/2" bell, mounted on the machine. The horn has some weathering, one very slight transportation scratch, and some corrosion, but is still decent. It has original paint and original horn decal. There are some cracks on the rear panel of the case (see photographs). It's not visible when you use the machine, and could be glued and/or closed up and finished over. This machine sounds fine and the motor is working properly. Priced $700 below market $1850
