An original 15.5" double comb Regina music box in an oak case.
The mechanism is in good condition, no broken teeth, no damper squeak, no oxidation of the bass leads. I had pulled and gently cleaned the combs, and cleaned over 100 years of dirt and dust out of the star wheel gantry and damper assemblies.
This motor was originally coin-operated and has been converted to a regular manual start/stop. These coin-op mechanisms are temperamental and trouble prone, and are often found missing from the machines. The hole for the coin slide has been covered with a brass ring -- you sometimes see this type of cover plate on coin-op conversions.
The original finish case is typically age-darkened, with some weathering on the lid that has been touched in a little.
The motor and stop/start are working properly, and this machine plays properly and smoothly.
Includes 25 fifteen and half inch Regina discs.
