VTLA (Victrola XX)

This article is part of the ANTIQUE PHONOGRAPH, GRAMOPHONE AND TALKING MACHINE IDENTIFICATION GUIDES.

This very scarce L-door VTLA machine, the Victrola XX, was introduced in 1908. Most examples have appeared with gilded columns and gilded gingerbread trim. Note the beauftiful matching mahogany panels.

According to Robert Baumbach's Victor Data Book the XX designation was for internal factory use, and the metal nameplate is stamped simply VTLA.
