The U-S Talking Machine company was an independent venture based in Cleveland, Ohio. They manufactured a series of outside horn phonographs with unique "flex arm," but were most successful as producers of celluloid cylinder records.

The Rex, ca. 1912-1914, was an internal horn, Amberola type machine.

The Rex is around the same size as an Amberola 30.
