Monkey smoker automaton Fabulous 30" tall monkey aristocrat smoker with original wardrobe in choice, original unrestored condition will be the showpiece of any collection.This is the automaton by Roullet et Decamps depicted on pages 130-131 of the French edition of Christian Bailly"s L'Age d'Or des Automates.The automaton still has movement, although of course the smoking bellows should be rebuilt. He retains his original clothing. Another example of this automaton sold for $22,000 a few years ago at the big auction at Eureka Springs. $18,000
