15.5 inch Regina music box - short bedplate - mahogany for sale

The best of the best, the late short bedplate Regina music boxes incorporated improvements in design to make these the best sounding and most desirable of all Regina machines, and as such always command a premium. Relatively few were manufactured before tastes changed and music boxes went out of fashion.

This 15.5 inch double comb short bedplate Regina in a handsome mahogany serpentine case is in pristine condition, and puts out the deep, resonant, knock-your-socks-off sound associated with these machines, The combs and leads are wondrously clean, and the dampers are in adjustment. The motor plays smoothly, and the automatic stop is working properly.

The case is in very nice condition, with literally less than a handful of minute old scratches.

This is as good as it gets in a Regina music box. You can purchase something more complex, such as a Regina automatic disc changer, but you cannot purchase something that sounds better. This example is as nice a 15.5 inch Regina as I have ever owned. Price includes a dozen good original Regina discs.
