When I first purchased and listed this I thought it might be a base cabinet for a 20" disc music box, but after doing some research I discovered that it is one of the most unusual cylinder record cabinets ever made, because this cabinet originally featured a lazy susan in each drawer for the cylinders, and its own built-in wooden crane!
Jean-Paul Agnard was kind enough to sent me some photographs of this cabinet from his phonograph museum in Quebec, which I am posting below to give you an idea of what this cabinet should look like when it is restored.

The lazy susans and crane in the cabinet that we are offering could be reconstructed by a competent woodworker. On our cabinet, the panel of the sliding shelf to the left is present but sealed shut. The guides are still in the cabinet, and the open shelving and crane would need to be reconstructed. Our cabinet also has the corner pieces on each drawer to hold the extra cylinders. The lazy susan appears to be of the same thickness as the corner pieces, and made of the same wood, probably pine. It appears that the lazy susan rotated around a simple screw in the middle. Our example will also need a complete set of drawer pulls -- we have some that don't match, and you will need some cardboard pegs. Click on the thumbnails below to view our cabinet -- again, the interesting pictures I have posted above come courtesy of Jean-Paul Agnard.
This would be an absolutely spectacular cylinder cabinet when all done and reconstructed, and is certainly usable right now as it is with just some bottom wood in the drawers. Just when you think you've seen it all,
