Victrola XVI, oak, L-door for sale

This item has been sold. Please contact us - we may be able to find you another.
This Victrola XVI with L-shaped doors would date from around 1910-1912. These early machines took Victor's finest motor, shared with the Victor VI. It's quite unusual to see this machine in oak -- most examples were sold in mahogany -- and the oak cabinet plus the relative scarcity of the early XVI makes this Victrola highly collectable. The motor is working on this XVI, and the gold plated accessories should mostly clean up.The original finish is weathered but has not been touched. The cabinet itself is in great and sturdy condition, no dents, bruises, veneer peel. It is missing only the small drawer at the bottom (see image). The case could easily be cleaned and polished, or if you prefer it could be gently wiped down and oversprayed.
